New Schedule

If your schedule does not have 2 teams from the Dirty Duck, you have an old schedule.

The Duck was able to come up with 2 teams just last Tuesday night. The schedule has been redone since then. Please, please, make sure you are not looking at an old schedule for your next match.

Remember - if the schedule ain't got ducks, it ain't worth a fuck.

Rosters and Contact Info

Captains: please list all of your team members (first and last name to avoid any confusion) on the back of your score sheet this week.

If you add your email address to this, I will email the weekly standings, etc…

Remember, due to my weird/inconsistent work schedule I will not be mailing this stuff out this year - it is email or via the website.

So if you want to keep up to date let me have your email address or take it upon yourselves to check the website.

Also, find someone on your team (a volunteer?, threaten someone?) to print out the standings etc each week so that the non-internet connected can keep up with stuff. I really appreciate your help in this.

Stuff to Think About

We'll have captains' meeting eventually, after everything gets up and running ok. Here are a few things to think about till then:

1) We have 2 open seats on the board that we will fill. Currently we have Roger Anderson (Secretary), Lynn Chambers (Treasurer), and me (stats and junk).

All positions will be reappointed by a full board once it is created, so in essence there are 2 board seats open, with all positions available.

2) Length of schedule, post season format. With only 9 teams the regular season will run till the end of February.

Should we play each other 3 times, have a different post season, or enjoy a shorter season this year?

3) To avoid having to reschedule too many matches should we consider a formal 'playback' type of rule that would allow a team to play all 12 matches with only 3 players, in certain situations?

4) Anything else you want to bring up?

Joq's Team Tournament

Where: duh!

When: Sat Nov 30th, Sunday Dec 1st

Preset starting times for each match, no waiting around wondering when you play. Sign up early to get your first choice of times.

What: 3 person teams, 8 ball , 9ball, doubles. Double elimination.

How: signup at Joq's for $30/team

Joq's also has a 9ball tournament every Saturday night at 8pm. $5 entry $1 more for break pot. Double elimination.
