Makeup Matches March 4th:

count as forfeits if not made up this week.

Please have someone form your team there so we can get the

first week's matches set up. Playoffs begin next week, March 11th.

Captains' Meeting Results:

I. Last week of scheduled play is February 25, 2002. The following week there will be no play except for teams that need to make up a game.

All makeup games must be made up by the Tuesday of that week or no points will be given.

II. 1. Playoffs will start the week following the makeup week, which means the first round of playoffs will start on Tuesday March 11, 2003.

2. All teams will be eligible for playoffs. The winner of the playoffs will be awarded the Winner's Cup, to be held by the host bar until the winner of the next year's team is determined. First, second and third trophies will be awarded by placement at the end of the regular playing season, not by placement in the playoffs.

3. The first place team will be awarded a bye in the first week of playoffs. As there are an odd number of teams this year there will be two more byes available. No team will have more than one bye.

4. Seeding in the playoffs will be by blind draw. On matchups the team with the better winning record on the season will be the host team and play at their home table.

5. There will be no callbacks allowed during the playoffs.

6. Winning is a race to seven wins.

7. Teams will pay as normal for the playoffs except for the finals.

III. The Championship Final will be held at the Dirty Duck on Sunday March 30 at 6PM. The end of season party will be held at the same time. It will be a potluck and team captains are asked to encourage their team members to attend, as individual awards will be given out. Team captains: please see that your team provides at least two dishes to the potluck. As the final will be played there members will be able to watch the finals played.
